Duo's new Koshinmushi is the smaller brother of the Shinmushi, coming in at 30mm and weighing only 3.1g it's ideal for when chub are being fussy and wanting smaller topwater lures.
Like its bigger brother the Realis Koshinmushi casts really well for its size and has an amzing walking action which produces a plopping sound as its goes, which draws predators in from far and wide.
For fish on a fussy diet who are feeding on small beetles, there are situations where they wont use their mouths due to the volume of the Shinmushi. The Koshinmushi is a downsized model to visually motivate those picky eaters.
After redesigning the thickness of the body, we were able to realize that unique sound of a beetle touching down on the surface. As the downsizing of the body will reduce its ability to appeal to a vast area, we installed a rattle sound.
SEPARATE BODY STRUCTURE: The body of the Shinmushi is a two piece structure separating from the belly and the back section. By removing the belly hook eye, anglers will be able to separate the body to customize the lure depending on the given situation.
WING: We made it a point to design the wings as a fixed feature instead of a free moving wing, for its function as a stopper. It was also carefully designed to enable to the lure stage a ”freestyle” action while retrieving. We have employed elastomer as its material minimizing any drag while casting.
RUBBER LEGS: The length of the legs are 70mm and are so soft that it will continue shimmering even when holding it still in your hand. The color combinations have been chosen depending on body color based on Mr. Aiba’s previous experience.
