Ecogear say:-
The standard method to catch the Japanese rockfish, KASAGO is to have your lure make contact with a submerged structure. The basic technique for this, using a “PARAMAX” or “GRASS MINNOW” lure on a jig head rig, is the lift and fall technique. Set the jig head, lift it casually, and then have it fall down in a slow curve over the structure attracting the fish. Also dragging it on the top of the structure in a swimming action is also very effective. However please remember, setting the worm straight on the jig head, as to not lose its shape, is very important. If you don’t set the worm straight on the head, it will spin in the water and not have a nice action. Also if the tip of the hook becomes dull, your catch rate will drop off quickly. Make sure that you check the hook carefully and swap it for a new one earlier rather than later.
